KLCI interest rates

Press Play. The tape runs from December 2016 to 21 October 2026: the S&P 500 and the Fed, Bursa and Bank Negara, the ringgit, oil, and gold. A risk reading updates with each year. Type an amount to see how that year would split US stocks, US bonds, Bursa stocks, and a Malaysia bond fund.

Lines are rebased to 100 in December 2016 and stop at the year on the tape. Each series keeps its own color. The chips still say whether the number is Moomoo or Third party.

Third party Fed funds and the OPR are the policy rate in force at that year mark. The US 10-year is the Treasury yield. Moomoo does not supply those histories on this login.

4 · Risk-on or risk-off

5 · Ideal portfolio rebalancing

Three mixes follow the sentiment on the tape. Aggressive puts more into the sleeve that reading favors. Standard is the middle weight. Conservative keeps more in bonds. A jump in the US 10-year trims US stocks in all three. This describes that year. It is not a forecast and it is not advice.

United States Moomoo

The tape’s 2026 mark sits next to these notes: the 10-year was reported above 5.14% on 20 October, and a 14 October headline quoted the Boston Fed’s Susan Collins saying rates would likely need to rise further before year-end. A separate 21 October note put the chance of a Fed cut at 1.6%.

Malaysia Moomoo

Bursa was reported lower on the morning of 19 October, with financials weighing, after a four-day winning streak through 14 October. The last policy print on this tape is still the 3 September hold at 2.75%. Newer headlines are forecasts, not decisions: UOB wrote that a hike could come as early as 5 November, and a 21 October note said the rate could be 3.0% by March 2027.

Oil and gas Moomoo

On 21 October, Moomoo headlines had WTI up nearly 2% intraday after Iran denied progress in talks, while another note said the push in WTI and Brent was fading. A BofA headline the same day said crude was leading and gold looked weaker, which lines up with this tape’s year: the oil fund is up hard and US.GLD is down from December. A natural-gas search the same hour returned company notes, not a gas benchmark.
